The presidential primaries are hitting the homestretch, and November's election is just right around the corner. Whoever ends up getting elected will ultimately have an effect on the trucking industry, so we wanted to know: Who do you think is best suited for the job?

Vote in our reader poll and let us know what you think. Who should be the 45th President of the United States?

Gen. James Mattis.

Problem with your poll is that it is probably reaching out to employed people not the unemployed under educated freeloaders that want Hillary Clinton!

Too many of these political types 'preach' to us ad nauseum about how we need them to fix all the things wrong with us. Preach how righteous and good they are. Use cliche's like how 'hard they fight for us' whatever that means. 'Really Hillary-How hard you've fought for me?' Oh Right!
These people haven't worked a real job-ever! Suck the foam off the top of the beer and stand on the backs of constituents to get up higher and lock their fortunes and power in place.

Donald actually talks to straight. No spin doctors to run thru the 'key talking points'. What he says comes clear thru with no frosting. He knows where the trash in DC is buried and who buried it.
Let's just admit he is likely the only one not politically bought and let's get on with this already.

Problem with some people who have negative comments about Hillary Clinton is they don't understand that a lot of people who vote for her are well educated, hard working, employed people who don't want us to get into WW III.

No with Hillary a history of mis-judgements at critical times has caused a complete wariness about her abilities.
She is a hack with power and money in mind.

I can see the appeal of Trump in that he is not a politician.  Unfortunately, he is just a huckster with swagger and proven record of management failure.  He doesn't begin to understand the raft of complex problems any president is faced with.  Still I'd rather have him than Cruz, an ideologue and zealot who would love to have theocracy as our form of government.  Thank you, but no thank you I prefer a separation between church and state.  Hillary is better either but still, beholden to multinational corporations the deftly manipulate our government.  She is at least a smart, competent politician.  Bernie Sanders, hate his socialist policy positions or not, is the only politician I've ever heard of in my life time that doesn't accept corporate money and day and day out for over 30 years had been honest, on the right side of civil rights and considered the working class above all else.  Frankly if you like a road system, you like socialism to some degree, and in matters of the public good ( like infrastructure ) the market often fails to deliver.  Frankly if you are sick of running trucks through a decrepit highway network it might be time to vote some republicans out of office who have for term after term, stopped any meaningful transportation funding.  Carry on.

It's funny... those people who have to make negative comments about other people based on who they want to vote for are actually the ones who are uneducated. Because they have nothing educated to say. Me personally I think Bernie Sanders would be a great president.
