We all know that moving freight means many long hours on the road. But, every now and then, a sliver of time opens up when you can take advantage of your road trips and visit events along the way.

In fact, there are a slew of industry conventions in 2011, and because staying up-to-date with trucking trends and developments is crucial, weve compiled a list of the top five conventions to attend this year:

Mid-America Trucking Show (MATS)

Louisville, Ky.

This year, MATS celebrates its 40th anniversary as the largest heavy-duty trucking event in the world. Check out industry exhibitors, attend informative seminars, enter or watch the Paul K.
