Ever since the FMCSA first announced they were updating their safety regulation program through CSA 2010, we at Getloaded have worked hard to help our members stay on top of the program’s developments. Now that the program is live, we believe understanding the Safety Management Scores (SMS) is crucial for ensuring clarity in all of your freight matching — and our SMS module gives you up-to-date information, when you need it.

Feature: Safety Management Scores (SMS)

What It Is

The SMS module is a searchable database of all Getloaded members’ SMS and Basics scores. As part of CSA, these scores replace the FMCSA’s previous SafeStat system and provide a snapshot of carriers’ violations and warnings. Our tool pulls the information directly from the FMCSA, helping ensure all data is current and valid.

How It Works

The SMS feature is included with Silver level memberships and above for both sides of freight matching.

Carriers: 

Go to “My SMS Scores” on your dashboard to look up your team’s scores and data. Should you discover violations that you believe the FMCSA incorrectly included, you can file a concern by visiting DataQs.

Brokers and Shippers:

Go to “Lookup SMS Scores” to search for information about any carrier using their DOT number.
