It’s been more than two months since January 1st has come and gone. . . so how are those New Year’s “lose weight” resolutions holding up?

Hey, it’s never too late to set aside that yummy donut and finally make the commitment to slim down and shape up. On Friday, March 26, Bob Perry, known as “The Trucker Trainer, “ will be at the Mid-American Trucking Show in Louisville, Kentucky to share his workout tips and to lead a 1.5-mile Health Awareness Walk

It’s a free event, although participants must register first. You can download a walking guide in advance to help you get geared up and motivated for the walk.

On a related note, being fit may even make the difference between getting hired or being passed over for a job these days. A recent article from TheTrucker.com details how some companies are checking drivers’ fitness levels as a test of their job preparedness. Click here to read that story.

If you’ve already started your fitness regime for 2010, what advice can you offer your fellow truckers to get motivated and in shape?
