The NFL went pink. So did NASCAR.
Now, it looks like pink is the new chrome when it comes to the freight hauling industry.
Performance Diesel Inc. of St. George, Utah recently unveiled a bright pink, rebuilt 2001 Peterbilt 379, which it's raffling off as a fundraiser for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
The truck, estimated to be worth $80,000, is painted pink to support breast cancer awareness and every penny raised will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
Along with Performance Diesel Inc., more than a dozen members of the diesel industry are covering all costs associated with this amazing truck rebuild. Other sponsors include Jones Performance, Bridgestone, Twelve Gauge Customs, ASET, PPG, IDEAL Distributors, Lincoln Chrome, Four State Trucks, Valley Chrome Plating, NOVUS Glass, Bloomer Trailers, Setco LIPE Clutch, Bad Ass Custom Truck Parts, Best Deal Spring Inc., Dura-Lite, National Seating, Lifetime Lugnut, FASS, Kenworth of Saint George, Parts Plus, and Rainbow Sign & Banner.
Fundraiser tickets for the truck drawing start at $10, but if you'd like to kick the tires before buying your ticket, the breast cancer awareness truck will be available for viewing at the following truck shows:
The truck will make its final pre-raffle appearance and will be given away at MATS in 2013, but the winner doesn't need to be present at MATS to accept their sweet new ride.
