Last week, I shared the first rule in beating large carriers at the hauling game: Large carriers set and quote their hauling rates to the customer. Market forces may dictate price, but individual customers do not. You must do the same.
Now, we move on to Rule #2:
Market forces include what it costs you to do business, as well as supply and demand for the items hauled.
Like any business in America, trucking is greatly affected by market forces, and mastering these can have a big impact on your level of success.
